Student Council

SEC Student Council

The RGSVSC is a student body that supports student integration, student community and the development of a positive student culture. Along with the Prefects, the RGSVSC members play a role in Student Voice, including School policy and procedure review. The RGSV Student Council currently has six teams; Media, Finance, Administration, Events and Projects, Design- along with the Chairpersons and Deputy Chairpersons that form the Governance team.

Through various governance teams of the RGSVSC councillors can develop creativity, leadership responsibilities, provide support systems, and collaborate on student-led projects that embody and support positive school culture. The RGSVSC has multiple opportunities for school wide participation including: weekly homeroom presentations by councillors, planning school –wide events such as International day, monthly newsletter publications and contributions for all students, monthly podcasts produced by media department councillors and regularly updated Facebook, YouTube and Instagram channels for the latest news and events.

Being a member of the RGSVSC is both an energetic and engaging experience. You are an elected voice for your homeroom members and there are always opportunities to share the wants and needs of your homeroom in the RGSVSC. We look forward to supporting the school vision and mission and positively making a difference for all members of the student community year by year.
