Year 13 student Sanhyun Yeo shines at the international conference with pioneering research.
RGS Vietnam proudly congratulates Sanghyun Yeo,a bright Year 13 student for having his research paper selected for presentation at the prestigious 7th International Conference on Culture Technology (ICCT 2024) held in Daegu, South Korea!
The ICCT conference is a renowned gathering of international researchers and industry leaders, fostering collaboration and innovation in the ever-evolving field of computer and information technology. Sanghyun's research paper, titled "Enhanced Image Classification Using a Hybrid KAN-CNN Architecture", introduces a unique hybrid model that combines Kolmogorov–Arnold Networks (KAN) with Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) to enhance image classification accuracy. This model leverages CNNs' feature extraction abilities alongside the sophisticated function approximation of KANs, showing promising results on benchmark datasets like MNIST.
The ICCT 2024 was hosted by the International Association for Convergence Science & Technology Kyungpook Natl. University, South Korea, provides a unique platform for academic and industry professionals to discuss the latest advancements and future directions in the fascinating realm of culture technology. This includes digital content, performance technology, cultural heritage preservation, and the profound impact of artificial intelligence on education.
Sanghyun's research was presented in Session 1B: Digital Media and Image Processing, chaired by the esteemed Prof. Dukyun Nam from Kyungpook National University, Korea.
Presenting his research at such a distinguished international conference was undoubtedly a rewarding and enriching experience for Sanghyun. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to his dedicated teacher, Mr. Redhemer Payad, whose invaluable guidance and support played a crucial role in achieving this remarkable feat.
Congratulations, Sanghyun, on this fantastic accomplishment! Your brilliance and dedication are a true inspiration to all!
