What A Day To Remember At The RGSV Open Day 2026

Last Saturday, we were delighted to welcome prospective families to RGSV Open Day 2026.

Families received a warm welcome from our staff and students, followed by engaging presentations from school leaders and student representatives, offering valuable insights into life at RGSV. In the main foyer, our talented student band set the tone for the day with well-loved musical pieces, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere for teachers and staff to greet families and guide them through the day’s activities.

Following a short briefing by the School Leadership Team, prospective students joined campus tours for the Primary and Secondary levels, led by Mr Brendan Finn - Deputy Head of School cum Head of Primary, and Mr Colin Bradshaw Bastida- Education Director cum Head of Secondary.

Throughout the tours, students experienced RGSV’s dynamic and nurturing learning environment firsthand. The young learners were captivated by hands-on science experiments, from the colourful Magic Milk in Primary to the explosive excitement of Elephant Toothpaste in the Secondary Science Lab. Secondary students were particularly impressed by future-focused experiences, including VR, robotics, and 3D printing, while younger children enjoyed a delightful storytelling session in the library with Ms Katie.

Creative arts spaces were filled with imagination and expression. Primary students explored dot-inspired artwork influenced by Yayoi Kusama, while Secondary students engaged in hands-on visual art workshops, bringing their ideas to life.

In the gym, sports challenges fostered teamwork, confidence, and plenty of laughter. Meanwhile, families also enjoyed live music from the RGSV Starlings’ Chamber Orchestra during their weekend practice session- further reflecting a balanced education where students are encouraged to grow both academically and personally.

Our student prefects supported and guided families throughout the tours, showcasing the lively school environment at RGSV and how students grow happily and achieve excellent outcomes - truly reflecting our ethos of ‘Happy Kids Great Results.’

A special highlight of Open Day 2026 was the introduction of our scholarship opportunities, offering up to 75% tuition support, as well as full scholarships for outstanding students pursuing IGCSE and IBDP programmes - opening pathways to a truly global future.
