UNIS Swim Meet 2022
On the 5th and 6th November, RGSV orcas took part in the UNIS SWIM MEET. There were 19 schools and 500+ swimmers participating in this event from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and International schools from neighbouring countries. This is our first major competition after the pandemic.
The team was composed of 33 swimmers from Preparatory to Secondary school. Most of them are new and have never been in a swimming competition. Given that, the team still managed to take home 9 silver medals, 4 bronze and lots of heat winners. Jaewan, being one of the legendary swimmers, had a neck and neck race with one of the swimmers of BIS-AK, and finished second place in his 100m butterfly. It is just a milliseconds difference from winning a gold medal.
Additionally, swimmers: Henry, Tuong, Jiwan and Duc Anh won the silver medal in their 4x200m Medley relay and bronze medal in the 4x200m freestyle relay. Our 13-14 year old swimmers: Minkyu, Tae Hwi, Jaewan and Dong Gyun won their relay race in the 4x200m freestyle.
Swimmers have done a good job in representing the school in this meet and the school is really proud of them. All the hard work and energy invested in the practice and training really paid off. KUDOS to all the Swimmers and a million thank you to our hardworking coaches: Coach Hao, Coach Chung, Coach Long, Ms. Kendall, Ms. Sam, and Coach Madonna.
