One recent highlight was an exclusive violin masterclass with the renowned Dr Felix Olschofka, Director of the Glenn Korff School of Music. A celebrated violinist and respected educational leader, Dr Olschofka brought passion, precision, and profound inspiration to our students.
The session was a powerful blend of artistry and mentorship — a moment that left a lasting emotional impact and offered an experience few students worldwide have the chance to encounter. It is perhaps unsurprising, given our focus on music (including being one of the first international schools in Hanoi with its own orchestra), that this left such a strong impression on our distinguished guest.
Our creative arts students also had the rare and unforgettable opportunity to learn from Dean Andrew Belser (award-winning director, educator, and Dean of the College of Arts and Media at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln) and Professor Hank Stratton (Broadway and TV actor, and Director of the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film).
Their workshop was not only engaging and dynamic but also emotional and deeply personal. Students were moved to tears of joy, touched by the mentors’ heartfelt advice and encouragement to pursue their passions with courage and authenticity. These are not everyday occurrences; they are the kind of moments that can shape futures and ignite passions – opportunities only possible at a school that values deep, meaningful engagement with the world beyond its gates.
