Speech Day 2025 - Continuing the Legacy of Remarkable Success.

The Speech Day event for the 2024–2025 academic year at RGSV took place on 13th and 14th May in a warm and respectful atmosphere, with the full attendance of teachers, students, staff, and parents.

This special occasion was an opportunity for the entire school community to reflect on a memorable year filled with diverse and inspiring activities. Highlights included the student recognition and awards ceremony, an art exhibition, the Year 6 graduation, a performance by the Starling Orchestra, and an exciting basketball match with RGSV alumni.

The seamless integration of academics, the arts, and sports made this year's ceremony especially meaningful. It was not only a celebration of outstanding achievements but also a clear reflection of the school's mission and vision: to foster the holistic development of students, enhance academic performance, and strive for recognition at regional and international levels. In addition to academic success, students have had opportunities to strengthen their physical well-being through sports, and to nurture their artistic talents through visual arts and music.

In his address, Mr. Patrick Glennon – Headmaster – recapped the year's notable milestones and highlighted the continued and vibrant progress built upon past successes. International awards in Mathematics, Science, Music, and Art, along with impressive performances in sports tournaments such as the HAC and Visa Cup, served as strong testament to the dedication and talent of RGSV students and the strategic direction set by school leadership. Moreover, the students' spirit of unity, compassion, and enthusiasm for community service was another source of pride.

A particularly special moment was when the school was honoured to receive a Certificate of Commendation from Mr. Shawn Fenton, OBE – Executive Headmaster of Reigate Grammar School UK – in recognition of RGSV's consistent efforts and visionary approach throughout its educational journey.

The ceremony concluded with joy and pride resonating throughout the RGSV community. The school extends its heartfelt thanks to all teachers, students, and parents – the dedicated companions who have supported and helped to uphold the school's core values throughout the past academic year.
