RGSV Students joined Sharing Session about Studying Medicine in the UK
On March 4, RGSV high school students had the opportunity to join a sharing session about studying medicine in the UK - a field of study with many challenges but also highly rewarding and intellectually stimulating – a path they could choose for their future. The sharing session was attended by two special guests: Dr. Kate Glennon - a consultant anesthetist in the North West of England and an ACSA lead reviewer, and Dr. Mahambrey, Deputy Medical Director at Stepping Hill Hospital.
This session provided a great opportunity for students interested in the medical field and pursuing a medical career in the UK to learn from and receive advice from experienced medical professionals. During the event, the two doctors shared many real stories and their own experiences on their medical journeys. They offered valuable advice on choosing a medical career path, such as thoroughly researching career information, preparing for entrance interviews, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, the doctors emphasised perseverance, a crucial quality for any doctor.
The sharing session serves a platform for students to ask questions, delve into the information presented and develop a clear roadmap for their future endeavours in medical field. The insightful advice from the two guests had a significant impact on the students, motivating them to persevere in pursuing a noble and humane medical career. These sharing and exchange activities provide RGSV students with a comprehensive view of various professions, helping them to develop appropriate career goals and build specific plans to gradually build their future careers.
