RGSV joyfully welcomes the new academic year 2025–2026!

On September 5th, together with schools across Vietnam, Reigate Grammar School Vietnam proudly held its Opening Ceremony for the new academic year.

From the early morning, teachers gathered at the school to warmly welcome students back. The atmosphere became even more vibrant with the dragon dance performance – a cherished tradition at RGSV every year, symbolizing joy, prosperity, and good fortune for the months ahead.

In his speech, Headmaster Patrick Glennon shared: September 5th marks the first official school day of the 2025–2026 academic year across all schools in Vietnam. As a long-standing tradition, the school holds a welcoming ceremony to share this beautiful custom with the school community. He also emphasized that this is a time for students to begin thinking about their personal goals: What do you hope to achieve this year? What achievements or outcomes do you want to pursue? Think seriously about these questions, because your teachers will be alongside you to help make this year a wonderful one.

The dazzling dragon dance brought excitement and joy to the students, while also offering them a chance to appreciate the richness of Vietnamese culture. It was a meaningful moment for both Vietnamese and international students and teachers at RGSV to come together and celebrate.

We wish all RGSV students, teachers, and staff a successful, joyful, and inspiring school year ahead!
