Reigatians dominated the All Vietnam 2022 swimming championships
600 professional swimmers, 32 Swimming Clubs from all over Vietnam, and a motley crew of 6 Reigatians dominated the All Vietnam 2022 swimming championships, a 3-day event held in Halong Bay. They clearly dominated their respective categories and won medals to prove their mettle.
The medal tally was led by the underdog emerging star, Tuong Thai Y7, with 2 golds and 2 silvers. Followed by Nashom Sayed Y9, who won 3 silvers, missing gold by a fraction of a second, and led the Reigate team to a nail-biting finish in 200 mts freestyle medley. Tue Anh Thai Y8, winner of 50mts butterfly heat, and instrumental in giving the decisive lead that pushed the Reigate team to win 200mts freestyle medley, securing silver.
Min TaeHwi Y9 won his 50mts Freestyle heat and gave his team the powerful start needed to win the team relay, securing silver. Kieu Quoc Anh Y10 faced the toughest competition as he went against some of the fastest swimmers from across Vietnam and missed by a whisker. Finally Kieu Duc Anh Y7 the youngest participant won heat in 50 mts breaststroke. It was the first National swimming competition that our students participated in and made the Reigate brand a formidable team to compete with.
