MS Girl's Football vs Concordia

The Middle school panther girls took to the field for their first game this season. Controlled movement of the ball gave the girls good confidence as they kept a high possession rate barely allowing Concordia a chance at the ball. Good rotation, smart plays and well timed passes gave us lots of time near the opponent's goal. The inevitable came near the end of the first half as Tran (G7) took a shot from wide open only to be blocked by Concordia's very tall goal keeper. Giang (G8) promptly took her chance for a follow up and converted the sole goal of the game.
The game showed the girls that their hard work training 3 times a week pays off and that their efforts are the keys to their improvements. They will be back on the field today (Wednesday) to continue honing their skills and work on different aspects of their game.
Special mentions to Laura and Marissa for handling the defence really well and to Molly for being a strong presence in the middle of the field.
