An End of Year to Celebrate: RGSV's Primary and Secondary Speech Days 2026

The Primary and Secondary Speech Days were everything we hoped they’d be and more.

The celebrations started on Friday, with our Primary School Speech Day bringing the whole Prep community together for an afternoon of awards, performances and well-earned recognition. Awards were presented across Art, Sport, Music, Academic Achievement, and Civic and Community Leadership, with a special musical performance from Juwon SHIN and Nhat NAM among the highlights. The afternoon closed with all Prep students taking to the stage together, a wonderful moment that set the tone beautifully for the day that followed.

The Saturday morning began with energy and variety before the ceremony had even started. Guests browsed a beautiful Art Gallery showcasing student work from across the year groups, while the RGSV Orchestra set the tone in the auditorium and a hotly-contested basketball match between Year 13, alumni and staff provided plenty of entertainment in the gym.

When the ceremony got underway, the auditorium felt every bit the occasion it deserved to be. Awards were presented across Lower Secondary, Upper Secondary and Sixth Form, with pastoral leads sharing the highlights of each cohort's year. Between the speeches, our student musicians were a genuine highlight. Eunho KWON's solo performance of Winter Wind by Chopin, a piano duet from Anh Minh LE DANG and Dan NGUYEN, a violin solo from Soyi MOON, and a closing piano performance from Anh Quynh Pham TRAN each brought the room to a moment of quiet appreciation.

The morning closed as it should, with the whole room on their feet for Auld Lang Syne.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all the students, staff and families who made this year one worth celebrating.
